Everyone know sandalwood from its scent; in incense, oils, mosquito repellents and relaxation therapies. BUT we bet you didn't know it could be eaten!
That’s right. Sandalwood nuts are a healthy and nutritious Australian native food that up until now has never been sold on the Australia or in international food market.
Roasted Nuts
Our roasted Sandalwood nuts have many benefits. They contain 38% omega 9 oils. “Research has shown that omega-9 fatty acids are protective against metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular disease risk factors. Because omega-9 fatty acids have been shown to increase 'good' cholesterol and decrease 'bad' cholesterol, they help eliminate some health risks.”
They also contain less than 1% carbohydrates, up to 17% protein and are gluten free.
Gobbles
Gobbles are our new culinary creation. Marinated in lemon, honey and soy sauce they are then roasted and coated in a light sprinkle of castor sugar. It’s a sweet treat but none the less addictive and good for you!
Sandalwood shavings
Our shavings are sold in the woods purest form. After being dried, the wood is ‘shaved’ and packaged, so you are able to directly enjoy the natural smell and texture straight from the Australian outback. Unlike those processed incense sticks, oils and beauty products that use the Sandalwood ‘scent’ but leave you wondering how much of this precious material your actually using, our shavings can be used in a number of ways around the home…with you know exactly what’s in them. Place some on top of your pot belly and enjoy the smell throughout your house, place in some water in an oil burner, purchase with one of our locally made eye pillow slips for some relaxation or simply leave in your wardrobe or car dash to enjoy the slow release scent.
